At Dubbo last Thursday 2360 prime cattle. Good quality,except cows which weren’t up to theprevious sale. Trade vealers firm, yearlings lost 7 to 10 cents. Feeder steers fell 4 cents, however feeder heifers up 4 to 6 cents. Young steers to restockers cheaper- 391 cents. Heavy steers up 6c, heavy heifers 330 cents, plainer conditioned cows rose 5 to 7 c , better finished heavy cows dropped 1 to 3 cents principally due to quality.

Quotations calves 400, steer vealers 342 to 391, heifer vealers 301 to 360, steer yearlings 325 to 383, heifer yearlings 270 to 362, heavy steers 265 to 367, bullocks 261 to 375, heavy heifers 245 to 330, light cows 183 to 191, medium cows 189 to 260, heavy cows 228 to 270, bulls 176 to 332.

1860 store cattle Friday, Dubbo. market fully firm. Steer weaners $440 to $1040 avg $821, 338 cents per kg, heifer weaners $340 to $830 to avg $659, steer yearlings $780 to $1210 to avg $940 or 276 cents per kg heifer yearlings limited numbers $950 to $955 to avg $952. PTIC cows made $950 to $1460 for a line of angus cows from Wellington to avg $1182, cows and calves sold from $1060 to $1640 for a line of young Herefords, unjoined cows ranged from $750 to $1090 to avg $937.

Monday: Dubbo 39285 lambs. Processors light lambs fell $5, medium and heavy trades were firm to $6 cheaper, heavy weight lambs lost $5 to $7. Trade weight merino eased $7 to avg $132.50, hoggets topped at $139 restockers paid to $110.
